{Food Box} January Degustabox

For the last 7 months I have been receiving the Degusta-Box and I think the January box has definitely tipped of my last favourite box. The January box has everything that I love and use and currently left with the cake mix only which I am preserving for a night-in I am planning with the Mr. I honestly love each and every single product, some new and some old favourites that I had tried and tasted way before Degusta included into the box and still just as happy.
For those who are not overly familiar with Degusta box I will give you a quickie run down.
Degusta is a food box that costs £12.99 every month (payment taken around the 10th and you receive the products around the 25th). Every month you are sent between 10-12 items which can range from snacks to big meal ingredients. Not only do you get this amazing products to try each month you also get coupons for some of the products in the box which I think is awesome.
The charge includes delivery, this food box is available for Europe and UK only but heard they might be branching out to more countries in the near future.
To find out more about Degustabox and how you could start receiving some goodies as good as mine check out their website. I will not list the products I received but you can find out more on them HERE.
You can check out my other reviews on the Degustabox HERE, HERE and HERE.

Degustabox ~ September box

Hi there and welcome to another degustabox first impressions. Y'all know my love for this foodie box and how hooked I am to be given this opportunity to try out new products month after month for only £12.99. Most of you know I cancelled most of my subscription services but left this one and couple other sub boxes, this proves how much I love this sub box.
When my September box arrived I was away in Zambia so I had no idea what to expect. When I arrived I had to move house immediately after work (the very day I arrived - greatly plan huh!) I was so tired I didn't even get a chance to go food shopping but then I remembered my Degustabox gets delivered to work and I was officially saved for the first few days in my new place. So what did I get in my september box! Well let's see.

Jordans Simply Granola
Ok so confessions first (y'all know how much I love confession)! I am not and never have been a fan of granola. Among other reasons my biggest one was the taste of it I don't know why but it never impressed me, that's until Jordan's Simply Granola. I can not praise this product enough (this is not sponsored in anyway), I just seemed to have found my true favourite thanks to this sub box. I have had other Jordans products and have liked them but I never dared touch the granola. I have been enjoying the Granola so much it's now my essential "food", see what I made below for breakfast yesterday and Recipe

I put together Raisins, Natural Greek yoghurt, banana and topped with Honey.

Burts Lengil Waves, Bahlsen Pick Up & Elizabeth Shaw's Dark chocolate Mints
So obviously after I moved house after work on Monday I needed something to snack on whilst I was planning what I was gonna eat for dinner. These two treats came in very handy and I can not recommend them enough. The Burts Lentil waves came in three flavours which I all enjoyed (not in one day) but sweet chilli was my favourite, they are really nice crunchy chips. Bahlsen's Pick Up are just so yummy, OMG I could not believe it when I eat the milk chocolate ones! I am still searching for them in supermarket stores when them. I got them in two flavours but milk chocolate is my absolute favourite.
People I will not lie the Elizabeth Shaw dark chocolate mints are still in the cupboard and will stay there until someone claims them. I am not and have never been a fan of dark chocolate regardless of whatever flavour it comes with, so I can not say anything but I did love the June chocolates from Elizabeth Shaw chocolates because they were not dark chocolate.

Crabbies & Little Miracles
So I am sure everyone knows or have seen the crabbies TV adverts, I always used to laugh because the woman in the adverts always looked a bit off the screws if you get my drift but it was fun. I had never drunk it before and my honest opinion it's a really really good drink and only has 4% alcohol so I was happy to drink this during the week instead of wait for weekends (oops). Little miracles are a beautiful blend of organic tea and fruit juice, I absolutely loved them. I drunk them mostly before bed and immediately after waking up (if I had left overs I took to wake). They were my secret energy boosting drinks but also found them relaxing somehow.

Carnation & Righteous
When I first opened my degustabox and saw the Carnations I thought thank God I have milk so I can have a cuppa but at close inspection I found its cooking milk (so I was not too far off). I had never used or seen such before so I was very eager to try it out and I did to make my carbonara sauce (recipe was on carton - very handy). The righteous dressings I am yet to use but since I have started cooking again I have plenty of plans for them. I am happy I received three different flavours to try out so can not wait (I will share the dishes I will use them on).

These are the wonderful items I got in my box, I believe this box is only open to UK and a few other European countries (but I heard they are planning on expanding). If you in Europe then I could not recommend this box more it's amazing and very affordable.

Degustabox ~ August Box Impressions

Hi there and welcome to my August review of my favourite and only foodie box ‘DegustaboxUK’. Unless you are new to this these parts. You will know I subscribe to this foodie box which I receive every month-end roughly the 28th or there abouts. To subscribe it is easy and its very affordable and the charge £12.99 which included the delivery charge and what you get is worth more than the price of the subscription so I think this is a win in my book. Last month’s box I got a lot of items that required me to be in the kitchen to use them, I am not complaining just saying how it is and most of you know I hardly cook where I live (psst! am moving so cooking will commence – more on this later). So though I loved the content of the July box I hardly used it plus there was an issue with the first box – the delivery company didn’t handle the boxes well so my bottles came broken and everything was soaking wet. I did contact Degusta who quickly arranged for a new box with everything re-sent to me within 2 days I was very impressed and happy to say this month’s box everything has come as it should. Anyway onto the contents;

Mexican Dave’s tortilla chips
I am not a tortilla chips person but boy do I love these, they taste great and they are very very affordable (£1 only). They are available in Tesco from the 25th August, for me why I love these so much is they have no MSG or anything artificial plus they were cooked in sunflower oil. These get a recommendation from me.

Berry White organic drinks
These drinks are really delicious and it does what it says on the bottle, I got the berries/peaches and it is absolutely delicious. The Berry White drinks come in different flavors and can be purchased from Waitrose or online at Ocado for £1.59 each and I think this is really reasonable. I happily recommend this drink to all.
I do not know if I have ever used flavor shots before (does chicken/beef stock cubes count?), these flavor shots look really interesting and cannot wait to try them out. They are priced at £1.39 for 2, isn’t that just fantastic? I mean what more can you ask for? They come in 8 different flavors, and can be bought at any UK leading supermarket. I got Mexican fajitas and Spanish smoked paprika chicken, these too I am recommending to all.
Caribbean Twist
Ok I have a confession to make I LOVE COCKTAILS Hahaha, my friends and I are familiar with this little baby and similar ones when we were at university a few moons ago. I am yet to try this out but since I am going out next week to celebrate my friend’s birthday in London so will take this so thanks Degusta it came at the right time. The price is reasonable (£2.50) since in clubs they charge anything from £5 upwards for a decent cocktail I think I am happy to buy this myself. I do not have to recommend because it’s a no-brainer that this will be drunk and enjoyed.

LINDT
Another confession I LOVE LINDT CHOCOLATE, actually all chocolate (excluding dark chocolate) and when I saw this I shed a beautiful happiness tear. Firstly I love the packaging for me it really helps when buying something from chocolate to makeup. Y’all know Lindt is quality and pricey but that’s ok because this good chocolate is £3.49 which I think isn’t too bad. This comes highly recommended.
Cawston Press
What I love about Degusta is that there is always something for everyone in the family, this kids drink is super cute and I drunk it quickly and happily like a kid (don’t judge). I got the Apple & Pear flavor and I love 100%, the price is more than ok its £1.89 for 3 of these. Best part is there is no added sugar to them or any artificial anything.
Brioche Pasquier – 8 pains au lait
Well what can I say, firstly I was super surprised to find this product in the box then I was super happy because that meant I didn’t have to go buy any rolls – Degusta great timing and saving me money. They are so soft and so yummy it hurts, they are so moist and just yummy. They are priced at £1.69 which I do not think is actually bad even for frugal me.
Brioche Pasquier – 6 pains au chocolate
This is similar to the above but it contains chocolate and it just as tasteful but 10 pence pricey (£1.79).
Dr.Oetker
I finally got the edible wafer cases – when I was a kid I was always annoyed that I lost some of the cupcake to the cover and wondered why no one thought of making cases that I can eat (don’t judge). I am so happy and since my little since has got the baking bug I am taking this home with me this weekend so we can use them.

In this month’s box I got an extra coupon (£3) which I can use to purchase a 4 pack of Bircher Muesli (MOMA), I am well pleased and cant not wait to run to Sainsbury’s and grab me these wonderful yoghurts. I will say with 100% confidence that I am very pleased with this Month’s box and I have enjoyed it more than any other box have received since I subscribed.

{100th Post} Degusta June Box - Review

This is my 100th post on MC and I am so excited about it, bloggers know it's not easy coming up with material that you like and believe will engage your readers. To celebrate this 100th post, I wanted to share with you this amazing "food" sub box! Yea you heard "food" sub box called Degustabox.

"Degusta means ~ tasting in Spanish"

On one unfaithful day I was scrolling through the bloglovin land when I stumbled upon a post talking about "Degusta box" and I was intrigued so I checked it out and I am now wondering why I didn't know about this box earlier? OMG I am so happy with this box like you wouldn't believe, so lets get down some some info you want them I will share the Items I received in my first ever box.

Since I have not heard of another food subscription box I have nothing to compare to in terms of subscription T&C's. But as with most sub boxes they offer; Amount, Frequency and expectedness and Degustabox is not different but is better in my opinion.

  • Amount and Frequency ~ £12.99 delivery included, monthly box and payment is taken on the 10th of every month
  • Expectedness ~ Expect the box on or after the 25th of each month (mine arrived exactly on 25th with text message alerting the day before and on the day plus a link to check the driver's progress).
  • Review ~ Once you tried and tasted the items you can go back onto the website and review the items you got. They also share on their website what items are in that month's box and we mostly get the same but there are a few items that are different for each box.

Items I received - click here to see more about the items HERE.

  • Elizabeth Shaw ~ Milk Chocolate Amaretto flutes: In my honest opinion I do not like the after taste of amaretto, y'all know I love chocolate too much especially milk chocolate but don't mess with it just leave as is and let me consume it.
  • Urban Fruit ~ Pineapple: ok so what had happened is that I got my box delivered at work and whilst in a long boring T/C I decided to open the box and see what I got and to my surprise these little beauties were in there. At first thought was not gonna like them because they looked like haribos (I am not a fun) but I was wrong like so wrong the pineapple OMG was so good I cried (shed a tear) when they finished. They were consumed in under 30 seconds and I could not believe how deliciously good they are. These I am hunting for every trip to the shops.
  • Be Fast Breakfast ~ Banana/Vanilla: The day after I got my box I decided to give the be fast a goal, I was not entirely convinced as I only eat breakfast at work. When I drunk the vanilla I thought ok I like milk shakes no biggie, got into work had a meeting (totally forgot breakfast) and 3 hours into work I felt hungry that's when I realised I had not eaten apart from drinking the be fast so for me his product gets a thumbs up as it kept me going without me even realising it. The Banana was really good I held it back till yesterday morning as I had an early meeting so needed to have something that if asked a question I could still answer not wait till I chewed and also will keep me nourished till I ate my new favourite cereal.
  • Bear Alphabites ~ Cereal: ok firstly I don't care how old you are but getting cereal shaped in all the letters of the alphabet is seriously cool I mean who wouldn't love that you can even spell your name with cereal put on the side whilst you consume the cereal in your bowl and once you done later on you start munching on the cereal as snacks. What I love about this cereal is its has no added sugar and no "nonsense stuff" in it. Having this item makes this box even more family friendly (excluding my next two items which are so adult friendly).

  • Lambrini ~ Strawberry: I feel like the Degusta team knew my love for strawberry (Vanilla too)! so this adult friendly item will be opened in a few weeks when I will be attending a farewell get-together for my friend leaving for Korea. I do love Lambrini even before I got it in this box but I do not believe I have tried this flavour before as I am stuck on the original one.
  • Estrella Damm ~ Beer: ok though I drunk this bear (I am not a regular beer drinker) on a Thursday and twitted Degusta about it they told me to think of it as a Thursday treat and I am not denying it. I did enjoy this beer but I like to let my beer stay overnight just to see what the taste is like after and I am sorry I didn't like the day after taste so I will still and encourage people who drink beer to drink this one on the same day.
  • Veetee ~ Basmati & Wild Rice: I have always been a fan of Veetee rice, I got introduced to it when I was in first year of university and as a student anything that's usually already done was better than not and that's where my veetee love came in as they have so many flavours but I do not believe I have tried this one before. I am saving it for a rainy day so I have not yet cooked (Microwaved) yet.
  • Dr. OETKER ~ madagascan vanilla grinder: I am actually saving this one for my mummy to use on her cakes. I know she uses a lot of products from Dr. Oetker for her baking. I love the size of this item and I love vanilla so win/win situation right here.
Extra Item
  • Tyrrells Popcorns - Having visited the Degusta website I found this little beauty was part of the March Box but I got it as an extra treat for my box. The popcorns were delicious and they were consumer in 50 seconds immediately after the urban fruit treats at work.

What are my thoughts on this box?

  • Affordable and getting full sized products not mini samples is absolutely a big yes in my book.
  • Delivery is reliable and on time especially because the link once opened tells you the exact town your driver is in and also what number you are on his many deliveries I think this is super cool
  • The number of products you get for £12.99 is great
  • Degusta team are super friendly and they always (at least for me) RT'd every single twit I have sent out and include the companies I have talked about in the twit.
  • The quality of the products is great
  • Packaging of the items is superb ~ everything is in bubble wrap (a strong type) and it kept my lambrini intact.
  • I would recommend this box to my readers as this box gets 10/10 from me.

Have you ever heard of Degustabox? What you tried Degustabox before?
