{Guest Post} Double Decker Books

Hi there & welcome to today's guest post from Kaycee of Double Decker books, I have read some of the Double Decker book reviews and they are very well written and capture the reader so check them out. Double Decker also runs giveaways (which of course I have entered) so don't forget to check out their giveaway page. Don't forget to check out my #Freebie Friday giveaways too on AJD.

************

Double Decker Books is a blog for Indie Authors. We support and help them by providing professional services to them to help promote their work to gather more or new readers. Here at Double Decker Books, the author's needs are put first and we ask them want they want us to do for them!

Such as, with our Cup of Tea's and Coffee's; they get the choice of telling us where they want their work promoted at. We offer a few great free services as well; such as our Tea and Sub Sandwiches allows us to promote their work bigger, louder and to more places on the web with the exception that there is an application process to be a Showcase Author.

Our Cupcake Cover Reveals are free too. When we make a post we create it to be visually capturing to a reader that may be passing by our blog. We draw our readers to it and this then opens the door for a sale back to the author.

Our biggest services are the Double Decker, which are our small and large blog tours. We have gathered so far 12 blog hosts and just posted a "Become a Blog Host" page. Where you can come and join the others in the fun of sharing of authors and their books!

We have recreated our service page and built on "How to Order" page as well so it is twice as easy to place your order with us.

We also have a Giveaway each week for authors to enter to win additional services from us. This week we have two free book reviews we are giving away, so please come enter HERE for your chance of winning a free book review. Come on by our blog and enter the one we are running right now!

Our last service we conduct is an Author's Giveaway page, if an author wants to do a free giveaway, we will conduct the giveaway process and select winners fairly and equally across the board with our "Gleam" generator. The author's only responsibility is to provide us with their info and supply the books to the winners!!

Come check out the Double Decker Books!!

P.S. We have a weekly meme called double it Thursday!

{Guest Post - Dharia from Dharia's Closet} Confessions from a Recovered Patient from Eating Disorders

Hello Guys&Dolls, some of you are coming from my other blog AJD to finish this emotionally wonderful story.
******************************
To this day, she has no clue I got sick. After a while, I actually got fed up of what was going on with me, I was not dating the boyfriend I mentioned any more, and I said to myself “This has to stop”. So I went totally on my own to therapy this time, that I combined with a nutriologist therapy (with a special diet), and exercise (ballet and contemporary, but giving classes). So, from 64 I went to 48 in around a year, without throwing up one single time, and, accepting myself even more. The psychologist took forever to make me understand I was not ever gonna weigh 42 kilos ever again because my metabolism has changed, and of course, I am not 18 anymore, and she taught me many things, that is what I wanna point out in here. No matter how much I weigh (I am now between 48 and 50 depending on my lifestyle).

I am always gonna look fat to myself, but I’ve learned to love that. Some people think I am pretty and that I have a gorgeous body (their words, not mine), so, maybe not all of them are wrong, and I’ve learned that the “fatness” is an illusion, and even if I was, that doesn’t make me unworthy or ugly, so, whenever I gain a little bit of weight, I start taking care of my diet, eating a lot of salads, and of course, exercising, and thats a way I keep myself healthy. The will to throw up, is constantly there, but I fight with it, and I feel very proud each time I have avoided it for the past years, like alcoholics, one day at the time. I have a nice interior: I am a person full of love, and I love to give it to my family, my friends, all the animals, and I also try to cultivate myself every day a little bit. That’s a good thing. Even if I was “fat” that would not go away. I have a man that loves me and I’m sure he sees in me way much more qualities than I do, and if he does, I’m sure I have more nice things than just a body or a face. I dedicate more time to my friends and family now, because they are the people who love me and see good things in me, and I’m sure they would still be with me even if I was “fat”, so, I am less selfish because every person has something nice to show you and teach you.
I take a lot of care of my appearance without being a freak: Nice makeup, hair and clothes, always make me feel more secure, and especially if my outfit is funky, probably the people will look more at it instead of examining my body (I know they don’t, but that’s the way you think sometimes). I’ve found hobbies that are good for me but at the same time keep me away from thinking too much in fake complexes: painting, photography, and writing. I avoid long long times in front of the mirror because if I do that, instead of seeing the good things, I’m gonna concentrate in defects (that everybody has, I know, but after having an eating disorder) the tiniest thing can cause a catastrophe. I’ve talked about it with my closest friends, and they’ve always show me support. And finally: I’ve learnt to love myself for what I am as a person, and not depending on the acceptance of the others. This is the longest process, but every day something good happens, a lick on the face of my dog, a nice breakfast someone makes to me, finding a coin on the street, and then I say “hey, I am OK, I deserve this things!” Still a long way to go, but I am also proud of myself of recovering.
 Remember:
You are, you are, and yes, you are beautiful. We ALL are in a way or another, and you are blessed with life. Life is too short to spend it suffering in all the things you are not or you don’t have. It is better to spend it enjoying every single moment, share the moments, when possible, and believe that you are good enough to receive all the good things you have in it. Everybody is different and that is what makes us beautiful. Black, white, brown, yellow skin, Asian, Latin, African, European or mixed features, eyes in all colors, all kinds of bodies: curvy, plump, skinny, sandclock. If you spend your life trying to achieve something you are not (Like Natalia Vodianova looks) you will never be happy, and there is something in you, that always stands out: Your eyes, your hair, your style, your sense of humor, your body. But WE CAN’T HAVE IT ALL. Be happy with what you have, and feel thankful for it. After all, if we were all Natalia Vodianova, there would be no fun! Spoil yourself: you deserve it, and it will make you feel special. You can treat yourself to a bubble bath, an ice cream, a walk on the park, a glass of wine. Something that helps me also is to feel sexy (not slutty). A nice v cut every now and then, nice underwear, heels. Probably no one will notice, but you will feel good.
 Smile, enjoy, and love yourself!
Thank you for reading my good friend's story, if you would like to know more about her please check out her blog (Dharia's closet) she features a lot of people from other countries.

{Guest Post} Body Confidence

Hi there! Today's guest blogger is Helen of "Everyone Should Sparkle". I had the pleasure of exploring her blog and I was not disappointed. It is true "everyone should sparkle", she writes such beautiful posts y'all need to stop by and say hello please. Now without further adue.

It is true to say EVERYONE (myself included) struggles with confidence. Whoever you are, where ever you are from, whatever your size, shape, style, nationality, age or gender, it happens. It affects us all at some time or another and for some, it happens a lot more than others.

We are ALL beautiful, let me me say that now before we go any further!

We are all different but that's what makes us unique and it makes life interesting! I love looking at photographs and documentaries about different places, cultures and people and yes I love to people watch! The world would be a VERY dull boring place if we were all perfect and people weren't different and unique.

Lovely beauty confidence quotations Marc Jacobs and Marilyn Monroe
This world has haters, negative people and those who will bully others, pick up on others flaws and general be mean and nasty. Let me tell you that these people being this way says a whole lot about them and nothing about you. Trust me, its them who have the problem, not you. You will go further in life than they ever will so as much as it may hurt and make you cry a little (or a lot), know you are the better person.

                                                              Marilyn Monroe quotation

The thing to remember is that we are all human and we all have our imperfections, but as no-one is perfect, and there will always be negative nasty people but learn to let it go, know you its them who have the problem not you..... embrace the positive, be true to yourself and be a good person. It's natural to compare to others and be a bit jealous sometimes, but we are all beautiful and we should all hold our heads up and show it! Marilyn Monroe once said ' wanting to be someone else is a waste of the person you are'. It's true, so don't waste your life. The girl you are jealous of thinking you wish you had her hair is looking at you thinking I wish I had her eyes etc.

Embrace what you have and live your life with your head held high, with a smile on your face,  a spring in your step and confidence. You only get one life so live it and be confident to strut your stuff! Shake what your mama gave you!

So, go find a mirror, stand in front of it and read the statement below and repeat (hell, I'll read it to you if it will help, just give me a shout!),  then I want you to look at yourself and pick your favourite 2 things about yourself. For me it would be my hair and my eyes. Now its your turn......

Body confidence quotation- really makes sense and helps
Never let anyone dull your sparkle......EVERYONE SHOULD SPARKLE. The blog name is true people!
